PRIVACY POLICY
Snapback
Privacy policy.
Last updated October 29, 2026
Snapback has no servers and no accounts. Your screenshots, scans, receipts and reminders stay on your iPhone. We never receive, see, store or sell them.
Who we are
Snapback (“the app”) is an iPhone app made by Orbit & Loom (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
What Snapback accesses
Snapback only uses what you allow in iOS:
- Camera: to scan receipts, invites, bills and notes. Images are captured only while the scanner is open.
- Photos: to find the screenshots you take and to read photos you choose. When you pick photos, Snapback only receives the ones you select.
- Notifications: to remind you at the times you set.
- Calendar: when you tap Add to Calendar, iOS shows its own event screen. Snapback doesn’t read your calendar.
How your information is processed
Text in your images is read on your iPhone using Apple’s built-in text recognition. On devices with Apple Intelligence, Snapback may use Apple’s on-device model to tidy titles and dates; this also runs on your iPhone. Totals, shops, dates and categories are worked out on your device.
Where your information is stored
- Your items, scans, spending details and reminders are stored in the app’s private storage on your iPhone.
- They are included in your device backups (iCloud or computer) under Apple’s backup terms, like other app data.
Nothing is uploaded to us. Snapback contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and does not track you across apps or websites.
Your choices
- Change permissions for Camera, Photos and Notifications at any time in iOS Settings › Snapback.
- Delete an item in the app to remove it and its saved image.
- Delete everything by deleting the Snapback app, which removes its stored data from your iPhone.
Crash reports
If you choose to share analytics with Apple in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports. These do not include your images or receipts.
Children
Snapback is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
